Partner Spotlight: Wild Hearts

Since its inception in 2014, Wild Hearts has been helping families & rescue organizations care for pets with mobility impairments. Local rescues often contact Wild Hearts, hoping that they can use their experience and resources to help shelter a special needs pet. Unfortunately, many of these pets would be at risk of being euthanized at high-kill shelters due to their unique needs and the associated financial burden. By partnering with Wild Hearts, rescues can take on the responsibility of caring for special needs pets, knowing that the organization will provide the necessary resources and support to help save a life.

Wild Hearts and its partner rescues share a common belief that all pets deserve a good life, regardless of their disabilities. Although the initial outreach to Wild Hearts can be stressful, the success stories and transformations that result from the organization's efforts make this cause truly worthwhile. Wild Hearts witnesses the incredible resilience and adaptability of its sponsored pets as they learn to use assistive devices and tackle physical rehabilitation exercises.

Wild Hearts is a 100% volunteer-run organization, meaning that all donations go directly to supporting animals with mobility issues. The organization recognizes the important role that pets play in people's lives and refers to its sponsored pets, volunteers, and supporters as #wildheartsfamily on social media. Being a Wild Hearts family member means doing everything possible to help pets and their human families live their best lives.
